Devotional
Before the Israelites took a single step out of Egypt, God made one thing clear: the blood had to come first. It was not a ritual. It was not decoration. It was protection, identity, and the foundation for everything that followed. That blood on the doorpost said, "These people belong to God." The same is true for us today. Jesus is our Passover Lamb, and His shed blood is the reason we can move forward at all. Every good thing God has planned for your life is made possible because of what Jesus did on the cross. His blood covers you, identifies you, and clears the way. Sometimes we try to get moving in our own strength, relying on our own plans or willpower. But without that foundation, nothing takes off. You cannot outwork, outthink, or outrun your need for the blood of Jesus. It is not just the starting point of your faith. It is the foundation you keep coming back to every single day. If you have been striving and spinning your wheels, pause and come back to the basics. You are covered. You are chosen. You belong to Him. That truth alone is enough to get you moving again.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers me and makes a way where there is no way. Help me to build every step I take on that foundation and nothing else. Amen.
