What We Believe

At Praise Tabernacle, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible, centered on Jesus Christ, and expressed through worship, discipleship, spiritual growth, and serving others.

Our Core Beliefs

The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16)

The Return of Christ
We believe in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (I Thes. 4:13 – 18; Rev. 22:20)

The Trinity
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Ex. 20:2 – 3; Matt. 28:19)

Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 3:16, 20:28; Rom. 9:5; I Cor. 15:3 – 4; Col. 2:9; Titus 2:13, 3:4 – 16; I Peter 2:24 – 28)

Salvation
We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (Rom. 3:21 – 24; Gal. 4:4 – 7)

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of the gifts of the Spirit and in His fruit in the believer. (Luke 11:11 – 13; Acts 1:8, 2:38 – 39, 10:44 – 46, 19:1 – 6; I Cor. 12:7 – 11; Gal. 5:22 – 23)

Our Purpose

Our Purpose Statement
The purpose of our church is built upon the foundation of two key scriptures:
"We believe that a great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a great church!"

The Great Commandment

"Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’" — Matthew 22:36-40

The Great Commission

"Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’" — Matthew 28:19-20
From these two foundational teachings, we embrace five key purposes
  • WORSHIP – To "Love God with all your heart" is to live a life of worship, honoring Him in all we do.
  • MINISTRY – To "Love your neighbor as yourself" is to serve others with compassion, meeting both spiritual and practical needs.
  • EVANGELISM – To "Go and make disciples" is to share the Gospel and lead others to Christ.
  • FELLOWSHIP – To "Baptize them" is to welcome and integrate believers into the church family.
  • DISCIPLESHIP – To "Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you" is to equip and nurture spiritual growth in every believer.
At our core, we are committed to fulfilling God’s calling by loving, serving, and making disciples—building a church that reflects His heart and mission.

Where We are Headed

Serving everywhere is our emphasis this season in order to have a greater impact in our community. We encourage Praise members to join our evangelism team, connect with a home group for discipleship, and attend foundational or leadership school to be better equipped to answer this call.
