Community Outreach and Food Pantry
Partnering with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ)
We are committed to serving our neighbors with practical help and hope. In partnership with CFBNJ, Praise Tabernacle hosts a monthly Food Pantry to support individuals and families facing food insecurity.
About the Food Pantry
The Food Pantry operates on the third Monday of each month from 10 AM to 12 PM at the FLC Center. The pantry is open to anyone in need. Our team provides a welcoming environment and compassionate assistance.
Hunger in New Jersey
Food insecurity affects many of our neighbors. More than 47 million people in the United States are food insecure. Nearly 1.1 million live in New Jersey, including over 270,000 children.
Within CFBNJ's 15 county service area, more than 750,000 residents, including nearly 200,000 children, face food insecurity. Many households include at least one working adult. Some work multiple jobs yet still struggle to make ends meet.
People often must choose between food and other necessities. Seniors, college students, and residents of resort towns face unique challenges. Emergencies such as pandemics, natural disasters, and economic downturns increase need across our communities.
Why Food Pantries Matter
A food pantry is a community lifeline. When supplied by a food bank like CFBNJ, pantries can serve many more people in their surrounding neighborhoods. Pantries may be connected to a church, a school, or a community organization, or operate independently. The purpose is the same, to provide food and hope in times of need.
At Praise Tabernacle, our pantry offers a place of care for anyone who visits. We aim to serve with dignity, kindness, and prayerful support.
