The Potter's House

Devotional
Imagine a skilled potter working with clay. The clay doesn't become beautiful pottery by accident - it requires the potter's hands to shape, mold, and sometimes even start over when something goes wrong. You are that clay, and God is the master potter. But here's what makes this relationship unique: you get to choose whether to remain soft and moldable in His hands or become hard and resistant to His touch. Every day, God invites you to His potter's house - that sacred space where transformation happens. This isn't a one-time visit; it's a daily appointment. In His hands, He removes the impurities, smooths the rough edges, and shapes you into something that reflects His glory. The process isn't always comfortable, but it's always purposeful. When you respond to His daily invitation, you're saying yes to becoming the person He designed you to be.

Bible Verse
'Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."' - Matthew 11:28-30 (New Living Translation)

Reflection Question
What areas of your life feel hard or resistant to God's shaping, and how can you become more moldable in His hands?

Quote
When we become born again, we get an opportunity to become re formed, reshaped. If we answer the call. The invitation every day to go to the potter's house, to come to the Lord who wants to reshape us, take stuff off of us and replace it with good things.

Prayer
Lord, make me soft and moldable in Your hands. Help me trust Your process even when I don't understand it, knowing You're shaping me for Your glory.
