Rise Above the Resistance
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 40:28–31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles...” — Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
Have you ever felt spiritually exhausted?
Perhaps you've been praying, serving, believing, and waiting, yet the weight of life's responsibilities continues to press against you.
Just as gravity pulls everything toward the earth, discouragement, temptation, fear, and the pressures of life can weigh heavily on our hearts.
But God never intended for us to overcome every challenge through our own strength.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to rise above what we cannot overcome alone.
An eagle uses the movement of the air to soar higher. In a similar way, when we surrender to the Holy Spirit, God strengthens us to persevere through resistance rather than surrender to it.
Waiting on the Lord isn't giving up or doing nothing. It's trusting His timing, depending on His wisdom, and remaining faithful while He works.
You may be tired, but you are not without help. You may feel weak, but God's strength has not run out.
Stop striving to carry what God is asking you to surrender.
Reflection:
here am I relying on my own strength instead of trusting the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit?
Today's Challenge:
Identify one burden you've been trying to manage alone. Surrender it in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your next step.
Closing Prayer:
Holy Spirit, renew my strength today. Where I am weary, restore me. Where I am discouraged, lift my spirit. Teach me to trust Your leading instead of depending on my own understanding. Help me rise above every obstacle through Your power. In Jesus' name, Amen.
