Speaking The Truth In Love

Devotional
When Paul stood before King Agrippa, he didn't water down his message or change it to please his audience. He spoke truth boldly, yet with respect and love. He wasn't responsible for how people responded—only for faithfully delivering the message. This teaches us something crucial about sharing our faith. We aren't called to convert people—that's God's work. We're simply called to present the truth in love and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting. Sometimes we hesitate to share our faith because we fear rejection or worry we won't have all the answers. But Paul reminds us that our responsibility is simply to speak—God handles the results. Some, like Festus, may think we're crazy. Others, like Agrippa, might be almost persuaded. Our job isn't to force a decision but to faithfully present the truth. Today, remember that you can't save anyone, but you can introduce them to the Savior. This takes the pressure off. You don't need perfect words or compelling arguments—you just need to be willing to speak truth and let God work.

Bible Verse

Then Agrippa said to Paul, "Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?" Paul replied, "Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains." - Acts 26:28-29

Reflection Question
What fears or concerns prevent you from sharing your faith more openly? How might remembering that conversion is God's work, not yours, change your approach?

Quote
"We are responsible for presenting the truth, for presenting the facts of the gospel to anyone who will listen to us. We're called to preach the truth in love. That's what the Bible says. Then the Holy Spirit does the work of convicting a person's heart."

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that I'm not responsible for saving anyone—only for sharing Your truth in love. Give me boldness to speak and wisdom to know when and how. Help me trust You with the results and rejoice in the privilege of being Your messenger. Amen.
