You are what you CONSUME

Devotional
There's a direct connection between what we feed our minds and what flows out of our lives. Just as our physical bodies reflect our dietary choices, our spiritual and emotional health reflects what we consume mentally and spiritually. When we constantly fill ourselves with negativity, criticism, or worldly values, that's exactly what emerges in our attitudes and actions. But when we intentionally consume God's love and truth, something beautiful happens - love begins to overflow naturally from our lives. This isn't about religious rules or spiritual performance; it's about transformation from the inside out. The movies we watch, the music we listen to, the conversations we engage in, and the social media we scroll through all shape our hearts and minds. If we want love to be our identifying mark, we must be intentional about what we allow into our inner world. This means choosing content that builds faith rather than fear, hope rather than cynicism, and love rather than division. When we fill ourselves with God's truth and surround ourselves with His love, we don't have to force loving behavior - it becomes our natural response.

Bible Verse

'Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.' - Romans 12:2 (New Living Translation)

Reflection Question
What are you consistently consuming that might be hindering love from flowing freely through your life?

Quote
What you consume yourself with is going to come out of you.

Prayer
Lord, help me be mindful of what I consume and transform my mind with your truth. Fill me with your love so it overflows to others.
