Your Present Is Not Your Permanent

Devotional
Have you ever felt like your best days are behind you? Maybe you're looking at the ruins of a broken relationship, a failed business, or shattered dreams, wondering if God has forgotten about you. The Israelites felt this way when they returned from exile to rebuild their temple, only to find disappointment where they expected glory. But God had a different perspective. He wasn't focused on what was broken; He was excited about what He was going to build. Your current circumstances don't define your future destiny. That financial struggle, that health challenge, that broken relationship - these are not your final chapter. God specializes in taking what looks finished and breathing new life into it. He takes what appears small and insignificant and magnifies it beyond recognition. The key is shifting your focus from what you've lost to what God is preparing to give you. Stop rehearsing your failures and start declaring God's promises over your life. Your present state is temporary, but God's plans for your future are eternal. He's not done writing your story - in fact, the best chapters are still ahead.

Bible Verse
'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the Lord Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the Lord Almighty. - Haggai 2:9

Reflection Question
What 'ruins' in your life have you been staring at instead of looking forward to what God wants to build?

Quote
The glory of the latter shall be greater than the former. Your present state is not what you will be tomorrow. Take a look at it and tell it goodbye. Because God have something planned for you tomorrow that make the world we marvel.

Prayer
Father, help me to stop focusing on what's broken and start believing in what You're building. Give me eyes to see beyond my present circumstances to the glory You have planned for my future. In Jesus' name, Amen.
