Living As God's Restored

Devotional
When God restores us, it's never just for our own benefit. He transforms us so that we can be agents of transformation in a broken world. Micah describes God's people as dew from the Lord—bringing life-giving refreshment wherever they go—and as lions among the nations, walking with divine authority and confidence. This is our calling as God's restored remnant. We're meant to bring life to dead situations, hope to desperate circumstances, and healing to broken relationships. We're called to walk with the authority that comes not from our own strength but from the Lion of Judah who lives within us. When Christ truly rules every area of our lives, blessing follows. Not because we're perfect, but because we're connected to the perfect Source of life. And as we receive this blessing, we're called to become a blessing—moving from getting life to giving life. This is the ultimate purpose of God's radical restoration: returning us to our original design as seen in Eden, where we walked in intimate relationship with God and stewarded His creation with authority and love. As we surrender daily to His leadership, acknowledging our complete dependence on Him, we become living testimonies of His transformative power—dew that brings life and lions that walk with divine authority.
Bible Verse
"The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyone or depend on man. The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which mauls and mangles as it goes, and no one can rescue." - Micah 5:7-9
Reflection Question
How is God calling you to be both "dew" (bringing life) and a "lion" (walking with authority) in your specific spheres of influence?
Quote
We are the dew of the Lord. We bring life wherever we go, that people are dead. We bring life.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your radical restoration in my life. Help me to live as part of Your faithful remnant, bringing life wherever I go and walking with the authority that comes from Your Spirit within me. Show me how to move from merely receiving blessing to becoming a blessing to others. May my life be evidence of Your transformative power, drawing others to experience Your restoration. I surrender again today, acknowledging my complete dependence on You. In Jesus' name, amen.
