The Power Of Your Story

Devotional
In Acts 26, we find Paul standing before King Agrippa, not pleading for his freedom but seizing an unexpected opportunity to share the gospel. After two years of imprisonment, most of us would focus on securing our release. Yet Paul had a different priority—using his circumstances to introduce others to Jesus. What made Paul's approach so compelling was his use of personal testimony. He didn't begin with abstract theology or accusations. Instead, he shared his story: who he was before Christ, how he encountered Jesus, and how his life transformed afterward. Your story matters too. Your testimony is uniquely yours—no one can dispute it or take it away from you. It demonstrates the transformative power of Christ in real, tangible ways that others can relate to. Best of all, sharing your story requires no seminary degree or theological training—just honesty about what God has done in your life. Today, consider writing down your testimony. What was your life like before knowing Christ? How did you encounter Him? What difference has He made? Your story might be dramatic like Paul's Damascus road experience, or it might be a quieter journey of gradual transformation. Either way, it's powerful because it's authentic.
Bible Verse
"For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing." - 2 Corinthians 2:15
Reflection Question
When was the last time you intentionally shared your faith story with someone else? What holds you back from sharing it more frequently?
Quote
"Our story basically says this. I had a life up to a certain point and it was like this. And I don't know about your story, but my story was I had a life up to a certain point, it was like this, and it wasn't all that great. I mean, it wasn't horrible. And now I have a life that is great. And I didn't change it. Somebody else changed it for me. And his name is Jesus."
Prayer
Lord, thank You for writing Your story into mine. Help me see the power in my testimony and give me courage to share it. Remove my fear and hesitation, replacing them with confidence that You can use my story to draw others to Yourself. Amen.
