Transformed Responses

Devotional
One of the most powerful witnesses we can offer is responding differently than the world expects. When someone throws harsh words, the natural response is to throw them back. When we're wronged, retaliation feels right. But God calls us to a higher standard - one that often leaves others wondering what makes us different. This transformed response isn't about being passive; it's about being Spirit-led. When we respond to hostility with kindness, to criticism with grace, and to persecution with prayer, we demonstrate the supernatural work of God in our lives.
Bible Verse
"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." - Acts 4
Reflection Question
Think of a recent situation where you responded (or could have responded) differently than expected. How did this impact those around you?
Quote
What the world expects is when. If they throw a stone, you throw a stone. If they throw a fist, you throw a fist. They throw a word, you throw a word. So when we counter that, it makes them wonder.
Prayer
Lord, transform my natural responses into supernatural ones. Help me react in ways that make others wonder about the source of my strength. Let my responses point others to You. Amen.
