Discipleship/Friendship: David & Jonathan
Scripture Reading:
2 Samuel 9:7 “‘Don’t be afraid,’ David said to him, ‘for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan…’”
Reflection:
Even after Jonathan’s death, David honored his covenant by caring for Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth. This act of kindness shows how true discipleship can leave a lasting legacy. The seeds of love and faith we plant today can bear fruit for generations.
Application:
Consider how you are impacting those you disciple. Think of ways you can demonstrate kindness that leaves a lasting impact on their lives. Pray for God to help you leave a legacy of love that will encourage future generations.
