Discipleship Through Relationship

Scripture Reading: 
"At this, they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her." —Ruth 1:14

Reflection:
While Orpah chose to return to her homeland, Ruth sacrificed her comfort, family, and familiarity to stay with Naomi. True discipleship often requires us to give up things we hold dear for the sake of God’s call. Ruth’s decision shows us that discipleship is a journey of sacrifice, surrender, and trust.

What are you holding onto that may prevent you from fully committing to God’s call? Consider what sacrifices you need to make to grow as a disciple and help others succeed.
