Generational Discipleship

Scripture Reading: 
Genesis 35:9-10
"Now that Jacob had returned from Paddan-Aram, God appeared to him again at Bethel. God blessed him, saying, 'Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob. From now on, your name will be Israel.'"

Reflection:
Jacob’s life was marked by struggle and deception, yet God transformed him into Israel, the father of a nation. This transformation occurred through encounters with God, showing that discipleship involves personal transformation as we experience God’s presence. We, too, must confront our past, surrender it to God, and let Him shape us into who He has called us to be.

Application:
Identify areas in your life where you need transformation. Spend prayer, asking God to work in your heart and lead you into the identity He has for you.
