Daily Dose of Praise September

“He went down and spoke to the woman, and he liked her.” – Judges 14:7

Reflection:
Samson believed he controlled his desires and actions, but his attraction to the Philistine woman led him into a web of complications. Often, we think we can handle temptation on our own, but we deceive ourselves. Without God’s strength, we are vulnerable to being trapped.

Application:
Reflect on an area where you may feel overconfident about your ability to resist temptation. Humble yourself before God today, asking Him for the strength to resist and the wisdom to avoid vulnerable situations.
