The Ripple Effect

Devotional
There's something powerful about the mathematics of mission. When one person who has been transformed by Jesus reaches out to another, something beautiful begins to multiply. One becomes two, two becomes four, and the kingdom of God expands one heart at a time. You might think your influence is small or that you don't have much to offer, but God specializes in using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Every person who has ever come to know Jesus did so because someone was willing to be "flung" into their vicinity. Someone shared the gospel through their words, their actions, or their transformed life. The person sitting next to you at work, the neighbor you wave to each morning, the family member who seems resistant to faith - they all matter deeply to God. He cares as much about your cousin as He does about people on the other side of the world. Sometimes we think "farther is better" when it comes to ministry, but God is equally pleased with those who faithfully serve in their own backyard. Your willingness to be sent, whether across town or across continents, creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond what you can see. Every act of obedience, every conversation about faith, every demonstration of Christ's love has the potential to change someone's eternity.

Bible Verse
'Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.' - Matthew 28:19 (NLT)

Reflection Question
Who is one person in your life that you could intentionally reach out to with God's love this week?

Quote
One sheep who flings brings back another. That's two. When two sheep go out, they bring back three, Four. When four sheep go back, they bring out eight.

Prayer
God, help me to see the ripple effect potential in every interaction. Give me courage to reach out to those You've placed in my path.
