STRENGTH THROUGH SUFFERING

Scripture Reading:
Romans 5:3–5

Devotional:
Suffering is never wasted in the hands of God.
Some of the most difficult seasons of our lives become the very places where our faith develops its deepest roots. What feels like loss, disappointment, or delay can become an opportunity for spiritual growth.

The apostle Paul reminds us that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance develops character, and character strengthens hope.

Think about the challenges you have faced this year. Perhaps you experienced unexpected changes, unanswered prayers, personal loss, or circumstances that stretched your faith beyond what you thought you could endure.

Yet through it all, God has remained faithful.

Spiritual endurance is not developed when everything is comfortable. It grows when we learn to trust God even when we cannot understand what He is doing.

God is not distant from our pain. He walks with us through every season, shaping our character and reminding us that our hope is anchored in His promises rather than our circumstances.

Reflection:
What difficult season has God used to strengthen my faith, deepen my character, or teach me to depend more fully on Him?

Today's Application:
Write down one challenge you experienced this year. Beside it, identify something God developed within you through that experience. Thank Him for His faithfulness, even in the difficult moments.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for remaining faithful through every trial and difficult season. Help me recognize that my struggles do not define me, but that You can use them to strengthen my faith. Continue developing perseverance, character, and lasting hope within me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
