Daily Death, Daily Life

Devotional
Taking up your cross daily sounds intimidating, but it's actually the pathway to true freedom. The cross represents death to everything that keeps us from experiencing God's best - our pride, our need for control, our comfort zones, and our selfish ambitions. When Jesus asks us to carry our cross daily, He's inviting us into a lifestyle of surrender that leads to abundant life. This daily death isn't punishment; it's liberation from the things that would ultimately destroy us. Each morning, we have the opportunity to choose His way over our way, His wisdom over our understanding, His strength over our limitations. The cross confronts everything that competes with God for our allegiance, but it also opens the door to experiencing His power and peace in ways we never imagined possible.

Bible Verse
'For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.' - Romans 8:13 (New Living Translation)
