Sent With Purpose

Devotional
After His resurrection, Jesus spoke words that would change everything: "As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you." This wasn't just a suggestion or an invitation for the super-spiritual. It was a commissioning for every follower of Christ, including you. Jesus didn't send His disciples because He was tired of them or because their clinging had become burdensome. He sent them because love compels us to share what we've received. When you truly experience the life-changing power of knowing Jesus, keeping it to yourself becomes impossible. Being sent doesn't mean being abandoned. Jesus promises to be with us always, even as we go. The same relationship that transforms us in private becomes the source of strength for our public mission. We're not sent out empty-handed or alone; we carry His presence with us wherever we go. Your mission field might be across the ocean or across the street. It might be your workplace, your school, or your family dinner table. God doesn't measure the value of our mission by distance traveled but by obedience offered. Every sphere of influence matters equally to Him because every person matters equally to Him.

Bible Verse
'Again he said, 'Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.' Then he breathed on them and said, 'Receive the Holy Spirit.' - John 20:21-22 (NLT)
