Your Story Is Enough

Devotional
You might be waiting until you feel qualified enough to speak into someone else's life. Waiting until you have read more, grown more, or figured more out. But here is something worth sitting with: your testimony is already one of the most powerful tools you carry. You do not need a theology degree to tell someone what Jesus did for you. You do not need a platform or a title. You just need to be honest. "I once was this, and this is what God did." That kind of vulnerability cuts through walls that polished presentations never could. The Holy Spirit empowers ordinary people to be extraordinary witnesses. Acts 1:8 makes it clear that the power to be a witness comes from Him, not from you. Your job is not to be impressive. Your job is to be available and honest about your journey. Someone in your life is waiting to hear a story that sounds like theirs. They need to know that change is possible, not from a distance, but from someone who has actually lived it. Your story, offered with humility and love, is evidence that God is real and that He moves in real lives.
Bible Verse
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere, in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:8 (New Living Translation (NLT))
Reflection Question
What part of your personal story with God have you been hesitant to share, and what might be holding you back from offering it to someone who needs to hear it?
Quote
"One of the most powerful things you have in your arsenal is your testimony. Your testimony. Sometimes you don't even need to read a scripture to someone. Just tell them, I once was and this is what Jesus did for me."
Prayer
Holy Spirit, give me the boldness to share what You have done in my life. Help me trust that my story, offered in love, can be the very thing someone else needs to take their next step toward You. Amen.
