Scattered but Not Separated

Reading: Acts 8:1–8

Devotional
What looks like disruption in your life may actually become distribution in the hands of God.

In Acts 8, persecution scattered the believers from the places that had become familiar to them. They were forced from their homes and pushed beyond their comfort zones. Yet something remarkable happened: wherever they went, they carried the Gospel with them.

They were geographically scattered, but they were not spiritually separated from God or His purpose.

The enemy may have intended their scattering to silence them, but God used it to spread the message of Jesus even farther.

Sometimes we look at unexpected changes and immediately ask, “God, why is this happening?” But perhaps another question is needed:

“God, where are You sending me through this?”

You are not merely someone experiencing circumstances. You are a carrier of the presence of God. Wherever you go, Christ goes with you.

The disruption may not be the end of the story. It may be the beginning of your deployment.

Reflection
Where in your life has God turned what initially felt like a setback into a sending?

Take Flight Challenge

Identify one person in your current surroundings—at work, school, church, or in your neighborhood—to whom you can intentionally bring the love and presence of Christ this week.

Prayer
Lord, help me recognize Your purpose even when my plans are disrupted. Instead of focusing only on what has changed, show me where You are sending me and who You want me to reach. Wherever I go, let me faithfully carry Your presence. Amen.
