Generational Discipleship
Scripture Reading:
Genesis 26:2-5
"The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, 'Do not go down to Egypt, but do as I tell you. Live here as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. I will confirm that I will give all these lands to you and your descendants, just as I solemnly promised Abraham, your father.'"
Reflection:
Isaac inherited the promises given to Abraham, but he had to make those promises his own. His faith journey was different from Abraham’s, but it required the same trust and obedience. God calls us not just to live off the faith of those before us but to build a personal relationship with Him rooted in trust.
Application:
Reflect on your spiritual heritage. What are the promises or foundations that have been passed to you? How can you make them your own through a deeper relationship with God?
