Using Position To Bless

Devotional
Whatever role you have - whether you're a parent, employee, leader, student, or friend - you have influence. The question isn't whether you have position or power, but how you're using it. Worldly thinking uses people to gain position, but kingdom thinking uses position to bless people. This means looking for ways to lift others up, advocate for those who can't advocate for themselves, and create opportunities for others to succeed. It might mean mentoring a younger colleague, encouraging a struggling friend, or simply treating everyone with dignity regardless of their status. When we use our influence to serve others, we're reflecting the character of Jesus, who had all power and authority yet chose to wash His disciples' feet. This approach doesn't diminish our effectiveness - it actually increases our impact because people are drawn to leaders who genuinely care about their wellbeing.

Bible Verse

'And whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else.' - Mark 10:44 (New Living Translation)

Reflection Question

How can you use your current position or influence to specifically bless and serve someone else today?

Quote
Worldly greatness about using people for position. Kingdom greatness is about using position to bless people.

Prayer
Lord, show me how to use whatever influence I have to bless others. Help me see people the way You see them and serve them with Your love.
