Discipleship Through Relationship

Scripture Reading:
"But Ruth replied, 'Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go, I will go, and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.'"—Ruth 1:16

Reflection:
Ruth’s decision to stay with Naomi was made during one of the most challenging times of her life. Both women had lost their husbands and were facing uncertainty. Despite this, Ruth committed herself to Naomi and God. This is the heart of discipleship—following in faith even when the road is unclear. Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi mirrored her trust in God, showing us that true discipleship often begins in the valleys of life.

Application:
In your current struggles, how can you show loyalty to those God has placed in your life? Reflect on how God may call you to commit to someone in faith, even when the outcome is uncertain.
