Scripture:
"Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them."

Reflection:
Discipline, when done in love, is a critical aspect of parenting. It is not about punishment but guiding and correcting children to help them develop into responsible and godly adults. Discipline shows care and concern for a child’s future, shaping their character and helping them understand the consequences of their actions. Neglecting discipline can lead to a lack of boundaries and respect, which can have lasting adverse effects.

Application:
If you are a parent, reflect on your approach to discipline. Is it done in love and to guide your children toward righteousness? If you’re not a parent, consider how discipline has played a role in your life. Consider thanking someone lovingly disciplined you and reflecting on how it has shaped your character.
