Let Go of What Cannot Give You Life

Scripture Reading:
Philippians 3:4–9

Key Scripture:
Philippians 3:8
It's possible to be busy doing things for God while slowly losing the joy of simply being with Him.

Paul had religious accomplishments, knowledge, and recognition. Yet when he truly encountered Christ, he realized that none of those things could compare to knowing Jesus personally.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we do that we forget why we started. We serve, attend church, participate in ministry, and maintain our routines. But what happens when our hearts become weary, our attitudes grow bitter, and our relationship with God becomes another item on our schedule?

God is not looking for impressive religious résumés. He desires surrendered hearts.
Spiritual growth isn't measured by how busy we are but by how closely we walk with Christ.

Today, examine your motives. Are you serving from love or obligation? Are you pursuing recognition or a deeper relationship with Jesus?

Let go of anything that has replaced genuine intimacy with Him.

Reflection:
Am I spending more time working for God than developing my relationship with Him?

Today's Challenge:
Set aside 15 uninterrupted minutes with God today. No agenda, no requests, no distractions. Simply worship, listen, and reconnect with Him.

Closing Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for the times I've allowed routine to replace relationship. Remove pride, bitterness, and empty religious habits from my heart. Renew my desire to know You more deeply. In Jesus' name, Amen.
