Devoted to the Word

Reading:
Psalm 119:105, 130; Luke 24:27, 32

Devotional
Acts 2 says the believers were continually devoted to the apostles' teaching.

They weren't casual listeners.

They leaned in.
They wanted to understand.
They wanted more.

God's Word wasn't background noise in their lives—it was helping shape who they were becoming.

On the road to Emmaus, Jesus opened the Scriptures to two disciples. Later they said:

“Were not our hearts burning within us...?”

That's what happens when Scripture moves beyond information and becomes revelation.

We have incredible access to God's Word today. The question isn't whether Scripture is available.

The question is:
Are we devoted to it?

REFLECT
How consistently are you engaging with Scripture—not simply as a religious responsibility, but as a source of life?

TAKE ACTION
Choose a specific time each day this week to read Scripture without distractions.

Before reading, pray:
“Holy Spirit, help me understand what You want me to see today.”

Then write down one thing God showed you.
