Move When He Says Move

The Israelites had no time to let their bread rise. When God said go, they went. There was no waiting around, no second-guessing, no packing extra bags. The urgency of that moment carried a message that still speaks today: when God speaks, the time to move is now. We can convince ourselves that waiting is wisdom. Sometimes it is. But there is a difference between Spirit-led patience and fear dressed up as caution. When we know what God is asking and we keep delaying, that delay does not stay neutral. It slowly shifts into something else entirely. Maybe God has been nudging you toward a conversation, a commitment, a step of faith, or a change you have been putting off. Every day you wait, the weight of that unfinished obedience gets a little heavier. But here is the encouraging part: God is not frustrated with you. He is still speaking. He is still calling you forward. You do not need everything figured out before you take the next step. You just need to trust the One who is leading you. Take the step today, even if it is a small one. Obedience in motion is always better than perfection in waiting.

Bible Verse
'And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.' - Romans 12:1-2 (New Living Translation (NLT))

Reflection Question
Is there something God has already spoken to you about that you have been delaying, and what is one concrete step you could take today to move toward obedience?

Quote
"Redemption requires immediate obedience to what the Lord is telling you. Because think about like this. You linger in not doing what the Lord says long enough, that obedience that you're lingering turns into disobedience."

Prayer
God, forgive me for the times I have let delay become disobedience. Give me the courage to move when You say move, trusting that You will meet me every step of the way. Amen.
