Clear the Clutter

Before the Israelites left Egypt, God told them to get rid of every bit of leaven in their homes. No leftovers. No exceptions. Leaven, small and quiet, works its way through everything it touches. That is exactly how unchecked sin and compromise operate in our lives. It rarely starts big. It starts with a small habit you keep excusing, a relationship that pulls you in the wrong direction, or a mindset you know is not healthy but feels too familiar to let go. Over time, what seemed small begins to shape everything around it. Paul challenged the church in Corinth with this same idea. A little leaven changes the whole batch. The good news is that you do not have to be perfect to move forward. You just have to be honest. Honest about what has been quietly working against you, and willing to let God clear it out. This is not about shame. It is about freedom. God is not pointing out the leaven to condemn you. He is pointing it out because He wants you ready to move. A clean start is not just possible. It is exactly what He has in mind for you.

Bible Verse
'Don't you realize that this sin is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough?' - 1 Corinthians 5:6 (New Living Translation (NLT))

Reflection Question
What is one area of your life, whether a habit, mindset, or relationship, that you have been tolerating even though you know it is quietly pulling you off course?

Quote
"If you will continue to allow a little bit of leaven in your life, eventually it's going to leaven your whole lump. Eventually, you keep playing with it, it's going to take you there, it's going to take you off course."

Prayer
Father, give me the courage to be honest about what needs to go in my life. Clear out anything that is keeping me from moving fully in what You have called me to do. Amen.
