Step Out and Watch What Moves

Devotional
Fear does not have to be the last word. It does not have to be the thing that defines your story or keeps you stuck in the same place year after year. You have authority over it, and it is time to use it. Perfect love casts out fear. That is not just a comforting thought. It is a declaration of power. When God's love truly takes root in our hearts, fear loses its grip. It cannot survive in the presence of a love that is complete, unconditional, and unshakeable. But here is what is easy to miss: movement matters. There is something that happens when you take a step. God does not ask you to have it all figured out before you move. He asks you to move, and then He meets you there. The waters did not part for the Israelites until their feet got wet. You have been through things. You have faced fear, failure, and seasons that felt like they would never end. But God is a God of restoration, and He is not finished with you. Everything you have walked through has been preparing you for what is ahead. Do not let fear have the final say. Take the step. God is already on the other side of it, waiting.

Bible Verse
"Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love." - 1 John 4:18 (New Living Translation (NLT))

Reflection Question
What is one specific step of faith you have been hesitating to take, and what would it look like to trust God enough to take it this week?

Quote
"Fear does not have to remain. So I encourage you. Don't. There's something about stepping out and stepping in. Something about movement, movement in the waters. If you move, God does something."

Prayer
God, Your love is greater than any fear I carry. Give me the courage to take the step You are calling me toward, and remind me that You are already there waiting for me. Amen.
