You Are The Temple

Devotional
The Israelites thought they needed to rebuild a physical temple for God to dwell among them, but God had an even better plan. He no longer dwells in buildings made with hands - He dwells in you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and that changes everything. This means you don't need to clean yourself up before coming to God. Jesus is the cleaner, and all you need to do is surrender. You don't have to be perfect; you just have to be willing. God loves working with imperfect people because it showcases His power, not yours. As God's temple, you carry His presence wherever you go. Your workplace becomes a sanctuary, your home becomes a place of worship, your conversations become opportunities for ministry. You're not just going to church - you are the church. This calling requires you to give from your substance - whatever you have, bring it to the table. Your time, talents, resources, and relationships all become tools in God's hands. He wants to do something great on earth, and it involves everyone contributing their part. The glory of your latter days will be greater than your former days, not because of what you can do, but because of what God can do through a surrendered life. You are His temple, His dwelling place, His representative on earth. Live like it.
Bible Verse
'Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.' - Psalm 127:3
Reflection Question
How does knowing you are God's temple change the way you view your daily interactions and responsibilities?
Quote
God no longer dwell in temples made with hands. He now dwell in us. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing to dwell in me. Help me to live worthy of being Your temple, surrendering every area of my life to You. Use me to bring Your glory to everyone I encounter. Amen.
